Angus MackenzieAngus Mackenzie (1963) was born and educated in the UK. After graduating in Philosophy and then Law, he qualified as a Solicitor in 1990 and practiced law in London before moving into the recruitment industry also in London in 1992.

Having first worked with a specialist legal recruitment company placing lawyers in the UK and the Far East, he then joined a large London-based international financial recruitment company. Here, he conducted recruitment assignments on behalf of commerce and industry as well as banking clients both in the UK and overseas. He gained experience recruiting professionals in Europe, the Middle and Far East and North America.

At the beginning of 1996, Angus moved to the Netherlands where he joined an international search & selection organization in Amsterdam. He executed a wide range of recruitment projects across different industry sectors for a broad spectrum of international clients in different geographical locations.

In early 1999, Angus decided to pursue his ambition to set up a recruitment business. While in the planning stages, he provided training sessions to various recruitment consultancy companies. He also taught business English at the British Language Training Centre in Amsterdam.  Angus was jointly responsible for the setting up and running of FinanStaff, his previous recruitment company, in 1999.

Since 1999 to date, Angus’ practice has developed into what it has become now. With a passion for the recruitment business, he strongly believes in providing as close as he can get to a ‘perfect service’ to both clients and, as importantly, candidates alike which has constantly been at the cornerstone of his business and the recipe of his success.

He wished to continue to develop and serve his practice in the Netherlands (given its multinational character and its abundance of multinational corporate organizations) in another environment hence his decision to set up ANGUS MACKENZIE where he can best achieve his vision and ambitions in the best interests of both clients and candidates alike while continuing to set new levels of service.
